Your first visit
The choice is all yours.
Mindset Dental was established to do two things: to provide a pathway for you to become healthy, and to help relieve your dental anxiety, both now, and into the future.
For this reason, all new patients will have a consultation (a chat) and an examination (a thorough look at your mouth and teeth), prior to any appointments for dental treatment.

You have two options when you first visit Mindset Dental:

If you have a dental emergency, we will do our best to help you as soon as possible - but we will always check your entire mouth first at a separate visit.
Why is this the case?

We believe that your mouth and body are connected and should be treated holistically. A healthy mouth has positive flow-on effects for your physical and mental health. The health of our teeth is closely intertwined with our other teeth, gums and jaws. Without understanding the full picture, we would just be providing band-aid treatments and continuously waiting for the band-aids to fall off.

Everyone’s dental fears and phobias are unique, and there are multiple factors at play in addition to anxiety. Many people can also feel embarrassment, guilt or loss of self esteem. By allowing us to understand you better, we are able to better help you. Quick, anxiety-inducing fixes contribute to worsening dental anxiety. This is the opposite of what we would like to achieve.
